Julie Gillis
Julie Gillis has been performing theater and dance for 30 years and producing events for 15. She began working in improv in 2004 and was a member of the Heroes of Comedy and Girls Girls Girls Musical Improv, and is currently the Executive Producer of The Ladies Are Funny Festival, now in it’s 5th year. Lately, Julie has been seen in many of Gnap Theater Projects’s fantastic shows, including Dusk, One More Night, Apocalypse and 69 Love Scenes.
In addition to her work with Gnap Theater Projects, she works with other writers and performers to promote sexual literacy and education through reading series in Austin and writes a weekly blog column at the Austin Chronicle promoting LGBT rights and activism. Julie seeks the creative and generative intersections between art and politics and generally enjoys a good martini.
