Jennifer Micallef
Jennifer Micallef is a dancer, improvisor and chroeographer. She has been involved in dance and performance art for 15 years; in 2007 she began studying improvised comedy. During her 10 years in Austin, Jennifer has performed with extremely talented independent choreographers and improvisors in collaborative shows and festival formats such as Frontera Fest and Big Range Austin, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival. She has also choreographs and directs works with a focus on multidisciplinary mediums; and most recently co-directed the show “I Witness” through Tutto Theater.
Jennifer’s main role with Gnap!, since its founding in 2009, is to bring improvised dance and improvised music to the stage. She bring this work out yearly for the Just Like the Rodeo Festival. Currently Jennifer performs in Mongoose and improvised orchestra born out of a collaborative performance for the Just Like the Rodeo programming.
